We’ve finally made it to December, which means this year is almost over! Thank the lord! Before we can finally leave 2020 behind, we’ve got probably the strangest Christmas for most of us ahead. Despite things being different for us all this year, the act of giving and receiving gifts is still something that brings us all a lot of joy. Seeing the face of someone you love light up on Christmas morning when they open a present you’ve lovingly picked for them is priceless.
Here are our top vegan bath and beauty gift ideas for Christmas this year:
01. FAITH IN NATURE SHAMPOO
Holland & Barrett – £4.11
I always appreciate being giving vegan and cruelty-free hair care products. Faith In Nature was the first brand of vegan shampoo that I tried, and it’s a brand that I’ve been coming back to for years. They have lots of different ranges for different hair types, as well as plastic-free shampoo bars, conditioners, masks, shower gels, soaps and hand wash. Something I always notice about their products is how lovely they all smell, and they have something for everyone! You can find Faith In Nature in most supermarkets, Holland & Barrett, Oxfam shops and many local independent health food stores.
02. NEAL’S YARD FOAMING BATH
Neal’s Yard- £15.50
This is definitely more of a luxurious gift, but it’s such a treat to use! It honestly smells divine and creates so many bubbles! A little goes a long way. Neal’s Yard products are 100% cruelty-free, natural and organic, and they use eco-friendly blue glass bottles. Not only are they better for the planet, but they look lovely on the side of the bath too! Not all products are vegan, however, as some contain beeswax, so make sure you check before you buy.
03. EDEN PERFUME
Eden Perfumes – £24.00
This is my go-to brand for vegan perfumes, and has been for years! They’re a fully vegan and cruelty-free company based in Brighton, and they make vegan versions of all the big name brands. If you want a vegan and cruelty-free version of Coco Chanel Mademoiselle, Eden has it! My personal favourite is the Le Labo Santal dupe, which is no. 468. I honestly get so many compliments on it from people, even hours after I’ve last put it on. Eden Perfumes are really affordable too. They come in three sizes: 30ml for £18.00, 50ml for £24.00 and 100ml for £60, so they have options for all budgets.
04. BRAMBLE & BLOSSOM BATH SALTS
Wearth London – £5.50
It’s great to support small businesses, especially during these current times. These bath salts would make a lovely gift, either to pop in a stocking or for a secret Santa. Bramble & Blossom are a sustainable, natural and cruelty-free brand who sell lots of lovely bath, body, skincare and aromatherapy products. You can buy direct from their online shop, or from Wearth, an online eco marketplace, which has all sorts of fab vegan, cruelty-free and eco gifts in one place.
05. MIAROMA LAVENDER TEMPLE BALM
Holland & Barrett – £7.00
This pot may be small, but it goes a long way! Anything for a more restful nights sleep is always a welcome gift. Whether that’s a pillow spray, some essential oils in a diffuser, or this calming lavender temple balm. This Miaroma balm is all vegan and cruelty-free and can be bought from Holland & Barrett.
06. THE BODY SHOP BATH BUBBLE
The Body Shop – £1.50
If you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful little stocking filler, this is perfect! They’re only £1.50 and can be used for multiple baths. You just run the bar under a tap until you have your desired amount of bubbles. The Body Shop is a great place to get lots of vegan and cruelty-free products, but they’re not always cheap! You could grab a few as they come in different scents, all of which smell so nice and make for a really relaxing bath!
07. LAVIDO BODY LOTION
Multiple online retailers – £24.99
You can’t go wrong with a body lotion when buying a gift for someone. It’s not something I ever really buy for myself, which is why it’s always so nice to receive it as a gift. There are lots of lovely vegan and cruelty-free body lotions on the market to choose from, but this Lavido one is extra special! It’s not cheap, making it ideal for the main gift, but you can really tell the difference in quality. When I say it smells amazing, I truly mean it! It also glides onto the skin and absorbs almost instantly, leaving no stickiness on the skin.
08. ESTRID ECO RAZOR
Estird – subscription starts from £7.95
A razor might not seem like the most obvious Christmas gift, but I know I’d be so happy if someone gave me this. It’s one of those sustainable swaps that a lot of us haven’t got round to doing yet. Estrid is an eco razor subscription brand, who send you refills only when you need them, based on how often you shave. They come in five colour variations, all of which would look great in your bathroom, along with a matching suction holder. The handles are also metal instead of plastic, with the idea being that you keep the one razor for years to come.
