Winter Spiced Vegan Hot Chocolate

Extra rich and silky smooth, this vegan hot chocolate is made either with or without a pinch of chilli. Ideal for those colder evenings!

Ingredients

Freya's Aromatic Hot Chocolate

  • 600 ml Milk
  • 4 tbsp Grated Chocolate
  • 3 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tbsp Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Ginger Powder
  • 3/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric

Charlie's Spicy hot chocolate

  • 600 ml Oat Milk
  • 4 tbsp Grated Chocolate
  • 4 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 4 tbsp Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Ginger Powder
  • 3/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 pinch Chilli Powder

toppings

  • squirty cream
  • mini marshmallows
  • cinnamon stick
  • grated chocolate

Method

  • Use the ingredients for either Freya's Aromatic Hot Chocolate or Charlie's Spicy hot chocolate
  • Place all the ingredients into a saucepan over low heat.
  • Using a whisk, combine all the ingredients making sure to get into the corners to ensure there are no dry clumps
  • Continuing to stir, bring the chocolate milk up to heat until you see it begin to steam and gently bubble, but before it begins boils
  • remove from the heat and pour into your mugs
  • Tip with a spiral of squirty cream, and dress with a cinnamon stick, mini marshmallows and grated chocolate
