A quick berry compote breakfast topper
This 3 ingredient berry compote is the perfect breakfast topping! We have spoonfuls of it on porridge, stirred into overnight oats and spread on our vegan banana pancakes. It’s a great way to add extra fruit to your breakfasts, and using frozen berries means you can always have a bag in the freezer to make up a batch whenever you need it. We use a mixed bag of berries, but you could make it using just frozen raspberries or just frozen blackberries, for example.
A simple and easy vegan recipe
We love an easy recipe, and this is just that! You just pop all the ingredients in a pan and heat on the hob. It’s amazing how a few simple ingredients can be transformed into a delicious sauce. This compote is sweet, tart and super tasty. You’ll want to have it every morning on all your breakfasts! You can make up a batch at the beginning of the week and store it in the fridge in an airtight container. This recipe isn’t just suitable for breakfast. It would also be great with desserts. The fruity compote poured over a chocolate brownie with some vanilla dairy-free ice cream sounds like heaven. It’s such a versatile recipe.
