We think one of the most important parts of a great BBQ is an excellent BBQ sauce!
Some people may say it’s the company you keep, but I think they’ve just not tried the right BBQ sauce yet… While there are plenty of lovely shop-bought BBQ sauces available in the supermarket, you simply can’t beat a homemade bbq sauce!
Over the years, we’ve been tweaking and testing our recipe, and we think we’ve finally found the perfect recipe. I love how much you can taste the tomato in this sauce, it helps to keep the sauce fresh and sweet without being overpowering. However, there’s still a delicious smokiness to it and a slight kick from the paprika.
We’re sure you’re going to love our homemade BBQ sauce
This super simple vegan BBQ sauce recipe requires zero cooking. All you need to do is put all the ingredients together in a bowl and give it a good mix. It’s made with everyday ingredients you’re likely to already have in your cupboards, so you can whip it up at a moments notice. We always make it up fresh as and when we need it, however, you could definitely make up a batch and store it in the fridge for when you need it, especially in BBQ season! It’s so straightforward to make, it’s easy to adjust to your preferences. You can tailor it to what you’re having, maybe a little more paprika for more smokey heat with a cauliflower steak, or a little more brown sugar for added caramel sweetness when topping a vegan hotdog!
